Carmen Milagros Garcia

Carmen Milagros Colondres de Garcia, age 85, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026. She was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, to the late Jacinto Colondres and Carmen Sierra.

Carmen was an exceptional wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend whose love and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She was a woman of strength, grace, and unwavering dedication to her family. Her home was always filled with warmth, care, and generosity, and she placed family at the center of her life.

She was the beloved wife of Wilfredo "Freddy" Garcia. Carmen leaves behind her loving children: Wilmil Garcia-Colondres, Aracelis “Shelly” Garcia-Colondres, and Lillian Judith Garcia.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Adriana Garcia, Miguel A. Garcia, Ninoshka Arriaga, Emiliano Arriaga, Zuleyka Arriaga, Tanya Arriaga, Erick Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez, and Anthony Rodriguez, each of whom brought her great joy and pride.

Carmen is also survived by her siblings: Jose Colondres, and Nereida Santiago. She is joining in heaven, her other sibling, Aida Sierra ,Nancy Colondres, Luz Maria Velez, Ismael Colondres, and Pancho Colondres.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the wake, which will be held on Thursday, January 15th, at 4:30 PM at Community Funeral Chapels, located at 798 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut 06604. Flower arrangements may be sent directly to the funeral home prior to 2:00 PM.

Carmen Milagros Colondres will be remembered for her unwavering love, gentle spirit, and the legacy she leaves through her family. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
