Carmen Delia Ruiz Luciano

Carmen Delia Ruiz Luciano, age 83, of Bridgeport, entered into Peaceful rest at St. Joseph's Manor Trumbull. Carmen was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico; the beloved daughter of the late Jose Ruiz and Victoria Luciano. Carmen was a strong mother of six. She lost her mom at the age of five to cancer. She was raised by her father, and the age of 16 she married and moved to Las Monjas, Puerto Rico. She became a Certified Nurses Assistant and resided in Ro Piedras, Carmen retired after 22 years. In 1989 she moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut work part time for Sada. She kept the peace as the matriarch of the family. Her grandchildren and her dog Princess had a special place in her heart. In her past time she would knit and crochet special pieces, she also enjoyed listening to music and dance. Besides her parents Carmen is predeceased by: sons, Jose Torres Ruiz, Oscar Torres; sister, Nilda Ruiz; and granddaughter, Carmen Heffernan. Carmen is survived by: daughters, Maria Torres & son-in-law Edwin Maldonado, Carmen Padillo & son-in-law Samuel Vega; sons, Miguel Torres, Jose Leon; daughter-in-law, Rosa Valentine Torres: grandchildren, Astrid Padin, Tony Padin, Papo Padin, Maria Caban, Eileen Estrada, Erika Estrada, Esteban Estrada, Carlos Padillo, Pablo Padillo, Jomarie Torres, DesireTorres, Cherie Clark; 25 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish her memory. Friends may greet the family Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
