Carmen Mercedes Figueroa

Carmen Mercedes Figueroa, age 65, of Bridgeport, entered into heavenly rest Thursday, December 12, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Special thanks to St. Vincent's Medical Center the Oncology Unit, and friends for their moral support. Carmen was lovable, kind, and outgoing, always helpful and caring to those around her. She was a hair dresser for many years, worked at Elena's Hairstylist and Lafayette Barber Shop. Carmen enjoyed dancing, traveling and loved the casino's. Carmen was born Thursday, March 4, 1948 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico born to Miguel Figueroa and Eugenia Acevedo. In death, Carmen will be reunited with her son, Angel Luis Caban. Carmen is survived by: her companion, Luis Maisonet, two daughters, Diana Vasquez, Miriam Cotto, three siblings, Monserrate Buno, Miguel Acevedo, Luis Miguel Figueroa, a special niece, Ruth Ann Pitre. Carmen also leaves to treasure her memories to her ten grandchildren; David Gomez, Jose Hernandez, Joeliana Santana, Aristide Rodriguez, Reinaldo Tenorio, Leticia Caban, Carina Cotto, Jesus Caban, Angel Luis Caban, Jaydon Caban, eight great grandchildren; Inaycheliz Hernandez, Chelsey Hernandez, Eslianis Gonzalez, John Vieira, JosueDavid Gomez, Angelina Rodriguez, Bella Tenorio and Nyelis Cotto.
