Carmen Espejo, age 54 of Bridgeport, beloved wife to Oscar A. Espejo, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Carmen was born January 26, 1965 in Manhattan, New York; daughter of Luis Luna & Rose (Martinez) Luna. Carmen was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was an incredibly strong and hardworking woman. For many years, Carmen was a single parent raising four boys and worked for over 16 years as an LPN at the Bridgeport Health Care Center. In 2011 Carmen married Oscar, the love of her life. Carmen had a strong bond with her close childhood friends and those whom she met through her cancer survivors group. Carmen was predeceased by her son, Daniel A. Dalrymple. In addition to her husband and parents, Carmen is survived by her: 3 sons, Michael A. Dalrymple of Bridgeport, James A. Dalrymple of Bridgeport, Freeman A. Lewis of Bridgeport; 2 sisters, Alice Luna & brother-in-law Peter Rodriguez of Bronx, NY, Danally Ferussi & brother-in-law Ernest Ferussi of NY; many nieces and nephews, her grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.
