Carmelo B. Jimenez Carmelo B. Jimenez, age 81, of Bridgeport, entered into peaceful rest, Wednesday, April 13th, 2011 at his home with his loving family by his side. Carmelo was originally from Aguada, Puerto Rico, born on March 1st, 1930, to the late Juan Jimenez & Maria Benite. Carmelo was the oldest of ten siblings. He is survived by five sisters Ignacia, Tomasita, Antonia, Juanita & Margarita and one brother Hilario Jimenez. He was predeceased by three brothers Anastacio, Gregorio & Jovito Jimenez. Carmelo was a devoted husband for fifty four years to surviving wife Virginia Jimenez. He was also a great provider and father to his one daughter Myrta Jimenez & son-in-law Celestino Marquez of Puerto Rico and two sons Irving and Carmelo Jr. Jimenez of Bridgeport. Carmelo is also survived by three grandchildren Sheila & Jonathan Marquez, Shanell Jimenez, and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory forever. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 18th, 2011, commencing at Community Funeral Chapels from 10:30 am to 11:30 am following to St. Luke's St. Paul's Church, 589 Kossuth Street, BPT, for 12:00 pm mass. Interment will follow to Mt. Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
