Carlos Juan Burgos Ruiz

Carlos Juan Burgos Ruiz, age 74, of Bridgeport, Connecticut entered into peaceful rest Monday morning November 22nd 2021 at St. Joseph's Center Trumbull, CT. Carlos was born November 7th in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico the beloved son of the late Cristina Ruiz & Bienvenido Burgos. Carlos was raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico and was one of 10 children. Carlos was a loving father and provider for his family. He worked as an electrician and owned and operated a limousine company. He also was an advocate for political party Penepe in Ponce, PR. and was elected district official where he was a proud voice to serve his community for 7 years. In his late 20's Carlos migrated to Connecticut. A determined entrepreneur by nature, Carlos opened La Perla del Sul a bodega (small convenience store) in Bridgeport for many years. In pastime Carlos enjoyed boxing, baseball and playing dominos. His true passion was singing and playing his guitar for family and friends and will truly be missed by all that knew him. Carlos is survived by: 6 children, Carlos Burgos, Robert Burgos, Yvette Burgos, Beatrice Burgos, Annette Burgos, Juan Burgos; 12 Grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately in Ponce. Puerto Rico.
