Carlos Rosario of Bridgeport, Connecticut (06610), passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on November 1, 1941, in Ciales, Puerto Rico, he was the beloved son of the late Mercedes Perez and Feliciano Rosario.
Carlos was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. In 1963, he married the love of his life, Iris Teresa Rosario (née Burgos), with whom he shared more than six decades of unwavering love and partnership. Together they built a strong and beautiful family.
Carlos spent much of his life working diligently in the manufacturing industry as a factory worker, known for his dedication, humility, and strong work ethic. Beyond his professional life, Carlos was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need.
He had a zest for life and a heart full of joy. Carlos loved playing baseball, pool, and dominoes, and he enjoyed frequent visits to the casino, especially to try his luck at the slot machines. A devoted fan of the New York Yankees, he rarely missed a game and loved watching the news and television at home. He also had a passion for cooking and sharing meals with his loved ones.
Carlos found great joy in music—particularly the old-school boleros and traditional Puerto Rican songs that he loved dancing to with his cherished wife.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Carlos is survived by his beloved wife, Iris T. Rosario, and their devoted children; Carlos Rosario Jr. (Tammy), Luis Rosario (Lucy), Judy Rosario (David Rivera), David Rosario (Ivelisse), Tom Rosario, Melissa Rosario.
He was the proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Carlos is predeceased by his siblings Lucila Rodríguez, Julia Luquez, Carmen Rosario, Ana Perez also survived by his loving siblings Angel Rosario, Antonia Calderas, Rafael Rosario, and Maria Santos.
Carlos Rosario will be remembered for his warmth, laughter, generosity, and the deep love he held for his family. He lived a full and meaningful life, and his presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
