Carlos Antonio Rivera, fondly known as Carly, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024, at the age of 54, surrounded by his loved ones in Bridgeport Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1970, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of Carmen Alvira and the late Guillermo Rivera.
Carly was a devoted and hardworking man who touched the lives of many through his kindness and generosity. He worked tirelessly as a mechanic, using his skills to help others and always lending a hand to those in need. His dedication was matched by his love and devotion to his family.
He was a loving father to his sons, Carlos Antonio Rivera Jr. and Anthony Joel Rivera, whom he cherished deeply. Carly was immensely proud of his role as a father and embraced every moment he spent with his children and grandchildren, Ana Hernandez and Aliyah Rivera.
Carly's warm heart and good nature extended beyond his immediate family. He was a caring brother to his siblings: Carmen Rivera (spouse Luis Rivera), Yamille Rivera (spouse Anibal Rivera), and Angel Luis Perez. He was also a beloved son to Carmen Alvira and a cherished friend to many who will remember him for his infectious sense of humor and his willingness to help others.
In his spare time, Carly enjoyed sharing laughter with friends and family, often showcasing his great sense of humor. His presence brought joy to those around him, and his legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Carlos Antonio "Carly" Rivera was predeceased by his father, Guillermo Rivera, and siblings Pedro Rafael Nuñez, Luis Roberto Nuñez, and Guillermo Rivera. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished forever by his family and friends.
Carly's laughter and kindness will be deeply missed but forever remembered. May he rest in peace.
