Carlos Manuel 'Carlito' Vargas Alfaro

Carlos Manuel Vargas, age 87 of Bridgeport, the devoted husband of 49 years to Dionicia Vargas, entered into peaceful rest on Thursday, January 5th 2017 at his home surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Carlos was born August 7th 1929 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of the late Antonio Vargas and Albina Alfaro. Carlos was self motivated, hard worker, and strict father of five. He enjoyed playing domino's in his past time. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. Carlos is survived by: wife, Dionicia (Llorens) Vargas; son, Carlos Vargas Jr. of Bridgeport; son, Roberto Vargas & daughter-in-law Mayra of Bridgeport; daughter, Elizabeth & son-in-law William Pabon of Meriden; son, Antonio & daughter-in-law Elizabeth Vargas of Stratford; daughter, Esmeralda Vargas of Stratford; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
