Bobby Wayne Barksdale

Today we celebrate the life of Bobby Barksdale, the beloved son of Lucille & Jack Barksdale, survived by his children, grandchildren, and myriad of relatives. Papa was a rolling stone… As we reflect back on his nonchalant demeanor at times, and a man who definitely had his faults, we can appreciate his resourcefulness, work ethic, and reliability. Our dad could be stern & stubborn, but cool, sarcastic & funny too. He loved fishing, playing cards, and hanging out with his buddies at "The Island" shooting the breeze. And us kids can vividly remember his Budweiser & nip night caps. Our dad was certainly not the type of guy to mince his words, but in hindsight I think we appreciated his candor because at least you knew what you were getting.
