Blannie J Speller

Blannie Speller passed into Heavenly Rest on September 26, 2023, at Bridgeport CT.

Blannie was born on May 18, 1927, in Woodville, North Carolina to the late Sylvester Thompson and John O. Williams.

Blannie was married to the love of her life and together they raised 5 kids. She was a joyful, hard-working woman who enjoyed spending quality time with her family. Blannie worked as a farmer for many years before she retired. Blannie was known to accept everyone with open arms and truly enjoyed lending a helping hand to anyone in a time of need. She was always sweet, humble, caring, and compassionate with others. Blannie’s favorite pastime was praying to the lord day and night. Blannie was truly a joyful presence to be around, and she will be dearly missed.

Predeceased by: Her father, John O Williams; Stepfather, Ben Thompson; Mother, Sylvester Thompson; 4 children- James H Williams, Willie H Williams, Linwood Speller, Brenda Ryan; brothers, Melvin (Millis) Thompson, Joseph Thompson, Thomas, and sister- Mary B Thompson.

Survived by: Her daughter, Christine Speller (Linwood) of CT; 2 brothers ,Ben Thompson of NC, David Thompson of CT; one sister ,Baby Sis of NC; her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
