Basilisa Ortiz, age 94, of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at St. Vincent's Hospital. Basilisa was very happy and lovable. Basilisa was a great cook, easy going and enjoyed everyone around her. Basilisa will be greatly missed. Basilisa was born Wednesday, August, 6, 1919 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico to the late Antonio Aponte and Eudocia Lopez. Basilisa was married to the late Eligio Ortiz for over 50 years. Basilisa is survived by her children; Jesús Bonilla, Rafael Aponte, Luis Ortiz, Anthony Ortiz, Carmen Bonilla, Aida Ortiz, Julia Coln and Gloria Reveron. Basilisa also leaves to cherish her memories to her granddaughter; Nancy Rodriguez, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. In death, Basilisa will be reunited with her, children; Antonio Bonilla, Ismael Ortiz, Maria Ortiz, Carmen L. Ortiz and grandson, Hctor Pomales.
