Antonia Cartagena

Antonia Cartagena Antonia Cartagena, age 72, of Bridgeport, entered into peaceful rest, Friday April 1st, 2011 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the widow of Carmelo Cartagena, her husband of thirty one years. Antonia was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, on January 9th, 1939 to the late Juan Zayas and Romula Rodriguez. Antonia was a good mother and provider, she will always be remembered. Antonia leaves to cherish her memories seven children, Victor Manuel Cartagena, Idelfonso & Milagros Cartagena, Carmen Cartagena & Romon Luna, Alicia Lara Cartagena & Jose Luis, Luis Oscar Cartagena, Ana Cartagena and Marta Cartagena & Juan Gutierrez, two sisters, Marta Zayas and Juana Zayas and one brother Ignacio Zayas. She has nineteen grandchildren and a host great-granchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family Wednesday, April 6th, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave., Bridgeport.
