Anthony Fitzarso Davis

Anthony Fitzarso Davis Sr., age 65, of Bridgeport, Connecticut passed away suddenly on September 30, 2022 in his home in Bridgeport, Connecticut. On September 2, 1957 Anthony was welcomed into the world by his beloved parents Joseph Davis and Sarah Davis in St. Catherine, Jamaica. Anthony was affectionally known as "Tony, Teddy, Teddy bear and Stuffings." He grew up in a large family with 24 siblings. Anthony participated in a number of activities, to include reading the Bible, playing dominoes, painting swimming, shopping, evangelizing, socializing, and traveling. In his early years, he worked in sales, security, and warehouse operations. Throughout his entire life, however, he always kept up with his painting skills somehow, regardless of whatever else he did. He was very active in the church, and served the church in many capacities, to include being a Deacon for many years, at the Trench Town SDA church, and an Elder at the Old Harbour SDA church. He also served as a Bible worker for a number of years, distributing religious materials to those whom were in need of hearing the Gospel of Christ. He sang very well, and had a strong voice. He was born prematurely; so he strived to maintain a healthy voice, so that he could always sing well. He sang bass in this early years, in an acapella group named "Evangels", which originated out of Trench Town SDA church, and comprised most of his brothers, a few nephews, and occasionally his children. He exposed all of his children to excellent music, and to date, that music legacy still lives on. Anthony is predeceased by his: father Joseph Davis; mother Sarah Davis; 4 brothers: Melton Davis, Alton Davis, Barrington Davis, Wesley Jerome Davis (his twin); 1 sister Maxine Davis-Chetram. He is survived by: Ex-Spouse; 3 children; 5 grandchildren; 19 siblings and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
