Angel Luis Rivera

Angel Luis Rivera, age 78, of Bridgeport, CT; returned to the loving arms of the lord in heaven on February 19, 2023 in Bridgeport CT. Angel was born on February 16, 1945 in Salinas, Puerto Rico the beloved son of the late Amparo Rivera & Salustiana Cepeda. From Puerto Rico Angel migrated to New York he was an avid Yankees fan and worked in the New York Housing Department for many years. Angel was a devoted and selfless father. He acquired quite a few bonus children along his life journey. He was an astonishing uncle to many nieces and nephews but the only one he wouldn't deny saying was his favorite Eileen Rivera of Bridgeport, CT. Besides Angel's parents he was predeceased by the mother of his daughters Haydee R. Orchart of El Barrio, NY; and his eldest sister Carmen Luz Rivera of the Bronx, NY. Angel is survived by: 2 daughters, Brenda Rivera, Erika Rivera Cruz both of Allentown PA.; son, Jonathan (last name from) youngest brother, Jose "Victor" Rivera & sister-in-law Rosa Rivera both of Bridgeport, CT; sister, Milagros Rivera of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Jose Antonio Rivera of Salinas PR; his longtime domestic partner of 30+ years Carmen Quinones of Manhattan, NY; 19 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter, Jayda; and a host of extended family and friends where his memory will live on.
