Angel Rafael Rivera

Angel Rafael Rivera, age 68, of Bridgeport, departed this life Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital. Angel was the loving companion of Estelle Ramos for forty-eight years. He was a hard working provider and father of five, Angel had a great sense of humor, he enjoyed cooking and fixing cars. Kindhearted he always lent a helping hand. Angel was the third born of five to the late Rafael Rivera & Maria Green, in Barraquitas, Puerto Rico on Monday, June 20, 1947. Angel was predeceased by: his parents, brother, Carmelo Rivera and sister, Ana M. Rivera.Angel is survived by: companion, Estelle Ramos; son, Rafael Angel Rivera (Maria Alicea); four daughters, Sunmaria Rivera, Jacqueline Rivera (Anthony Purefoy), Jadette"Chilly" Rivera, Joanne Baez; two brothers, Artemio Rivera, Viso Rivera;nine grandchildren, Jeremias Torres, Evalisse Mojica, Kaelin Baugh, Antoine Purefoy, Antaniya Purefoy, Rafael A. Alicea III, Denish M. Almodovar, Daisha Almodovar, Angel L. Torres; three great grandchildren, Jayden Mendez, Xavier Torres, Aleida-Lee Draper; and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory.
