Angel Luis Arroyo

August 26, 1958 — April 18, 2024

Angel Luis Arroyo, a beloved member of the Bridgeport community, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, at Northbridge Rehabilitation at the age of 65. Born in the heart of New York City to Luis A. Arroyo and Carmen Maria Santos, Angel's life was marked by a profound sense of compassion, humor, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.


Angel's upbringing alongside his siblings, Izzy Arroyo and Elizabeth Arroyo, instilled in him the values of family, resilience, and generosity. Throughout his life, Angel embodied these virtues, earning a reputation as a man with a heart as vast as his laughter.


A proud Army veteran, Angel served his country with honor and distinction. His commitment to service extended beyond his military duties, as he dedicated himself to his community and family. As a builder in construction, Angel applied his skills and work ethic to provide for his loved ones, earning admiration for his diligence and reliability.


Beyond his professional pursuits, Angel found joy in various hobbies, including fishing, playing basketball, and spinning tunes as a DJ. His zest for life was infectious, and his presence illuminated every gathering with warmth and laughter.


Angel's most cherished role was that of a devoted family man. He was a pillar of strength and support to his six children: Priscilla Arroyo, Karina Santos, Angel Luis Arroyo Jr., Alex Arroyo,Nicholas Arroyo, and Alyssa Arroyo. His love and guidance shaped their lives, leaving an indelible mark on each of them.


In addition to his children, Angel leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren, Destiny, Gabriella, Shayla, and David, whom he adored beyond measure. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.


Angel Luis Arroyo was preceded in death by his parents, Luis A. Arroyo and Carmen Maria Santos, and his sister, Abigail Arroyo. While his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will forever remain a guiding light for those who were touched by his kindness, humor, and love.
