In Loving Memory Ana Hilda Rivera October 05, 1949 - December 13, 2015 Ana Rivera, 66, passed away on December 13, 2015 with her family by her side in Bridgeport, CT. Ana was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico on October 5, 1949. Ana is survived by her husband Oscar Diaz, daughter Jeanette Jimenez-Silva and Sons Juan Manuel Alvarez, Pedro Jaime Alvarez and David Silva. Living family members also include, Mother and Father, sisters, brother, son in law, daughters in laws, grand children, great grand children, nieces and nephews. Ana moved from Puerto Rico to the Bronx, NY in the late 60s to build a better life for her young sons Manuel and Jaime. Jeanette and David were born in the Bronx in the early 70s. She worked hard as a factory worker to help support her children for 35 years at the same employer until her health prevented her from working any longer. Anyone who has had the pleasure of sitting at her table can testify to her amazing cooking abilities. She learned to cook at a very young age while helping to care take her siblings. Her dinners were legendary on Morris and Burnside, where she was more than willing to feed anyone who stopped by our apartment. Ana loved family gatherings, holidays and dinners. Anytime spent with family and friends was time well spent. She was a devoted Wife and mother.
