Ana (Lydia) Martinez Maldonado of Bridgeport, Connecticut, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, in Gardner Heights, Shelton Connecticut. Ana was the youngest of eight siblings, born in Utaudo, Puerto Rico on May 22, 1933, to the late Francisco Maldonado Cintron and the late Juana Juliana Velez Mendez. Ana left Puerto Rico and moved to Maryland. She met and married Heriberto Martinez Lopez in 1957. They moved to Connecticut and started their family. Ana worked for Savoy Linen Services in Stratford, Connecticut for about 10 years. Ana loved to cook, garden and spend time with her grands. Ana was a faithful member of Second House of Prayer, in Bridgeport, CT. She loved the Lord and listening to Christian music. Ana loved to have family around her, she was a teacher of life. Ana leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories to her children: Sons: Norberto (Jeannie) Martinez of Stratford, Ct; Abraham (Jeannette) Martinez of Naugatuck, Ct; Edwin (Wanda) Martinez of Stratford, Ct; Richard "Tito" (Evelyn) Martinez of Orlando, Fl; and Daughter Annette (Abel) Perez of Bridgeport, Ct; Twenty Grandchildren, Eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
