Ana Luisa Maldonado, age 80, of Bridgeport, CT; the spouse of Juan Maldonado passed into peaceful rest on January 12, 2021 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Ana was welcomed into the world by her beloved parents Gonzalo Matias and Adela Matias in Salinas, Puerto Rico on May 5, 1940. Ana was raised in a large household, she was the third of seven siblings. Ana was affectionately known as Luisa. She was raised in the catholic faith and had strong beliefs throughout her life. Luisa was the matriarch of her family, she and her husband of over 40 years enjoyed family gatherings more than anything. Luisa's doors were always open for family and friends. Luisa enjoyed preparing special plates, her specialty was pastelles, a traditional delightful plate served around Christmas time. Luisa was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend. Ana Luisa is reunited with parents, Gonzalo Matias & Adela Matias; siblings, Conchita Torres, Lucy Racci, Angela Matias, Joe Matias, and Junior Matias. She is survived by: husband, Juan Maldonado, sons, Jose Perez (Maria), Henry Perez (Carmen), Orlando Perez, Julio Perez; daughters, Yolanda Collazo (Luis) and Elizabeth Perez (Hector Diaz), Linda Maldonado (Rachel Maldonado), Deborah Alain (Russell); siblings, Josefina Matias, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
