Amin M. 'Butch' Abdullah

Amin M. Abdullah formally known as Ralph Watkins Jr. and affectionately known as Butch age 68, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Butch was a loving son, uncle, brother and friend. Born March 22, 1949 in Stamford, CT. Butch was the oldest of seven. Throughout life, he acquired the admiration and respect of people he met along the way, and in that journey he aligned his life and spirit with the membership of the Islamic faith. In living his life as a revered Muslim man he changed his name and lifestyle. He created friendships and bonds through brotherhood to all that knew him in that light. The family believes without a doubt, they too will cherish and preserve his memory. Amin was predeceased by: parents, Ralph Watkins & Blondell Watkins Skipworth; siblings, Alvin L. Watkins, Beatrice Watkins, Kenneth "Teddy Bear" Watkins and one niece Nancy Perry. Amin is survived by: brother, Cornelius & sister-in-law Dawn Skipworth of New Haven, CT sisters; Cynthia Skipworth Brown of Bridgeport, Rebecca Skipworth of Bridgeport, CT; 12 nieces and nephews given the first names, Clarence, Katrina, Kenneth "Man", Alvena, Domica, Karim, Bethany, Sherina, Jazzlyn, Jermaine, Kenneth Jr., Kerri and a host of extended family. These remaining family members are responsible to carry his legacy forward and preserve all things loved by Butch. A memorial service in Amin honor will be held Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 10am-1pm at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT. Tel: 203-334-9999. Interment will be held privately.
