Aldela Vazquez

Adela Vazquez, age 82, of Bridgeport, entered into peaceful rest, Monday December 31st, 2012 at Astoria Park, Bridgeport. As an eighteen year old young lady Adela worked in laundry mat, washing and ironing for the Marines, San Juan, PR. Military Base. Within six months she was promoted to supervisor for her strong will and dedication. Adela was married for fifty-three years to the late Rubin Rodriguez. A mother of five who always put her family first, Adela enjoyed arts & crafts, knitting and word find puzzles. Adela was born January 16, 1930 in Santurce, Puerto Rico, the loving daughter of the late Marcelino & Ygnacia Vazquez. Adela was the seventh of eleven children. Adela is survived by: four offspring, Ruben Jr. & daughter-in-law Nancy Rodriguez of BPT., CT., Carlos & daughter-in-law Blanca Rodriguez of FL., Robert & daughter-in-law Milly Rodriguez of NJ., Doris & son-in-law Juan Carlos Rodriguez of FL., daughter-in-law Maria Bow of NJ., sister Evangelina Vasquez of FL., eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a host of extended family and friends.
