Adrienne DeStaci Joyner entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 15, 2022. Adrienne was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on January 9, 1960, the daughter of Linda Powers Joyner, predeceased by her father, Thomas Edward Joyner. Adrienne, who was affectionately called "Pook" by her daughter or "NaNa" by her grandchildren, was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, CT. She attended Harding High School, but finished up her high- school years by graduating from Bassick High school. Adrienne began her professional journey as a Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA), but further her education and became a Licensed Practical Nurse ("LPN"). Adrienne was employed with multiple facilities throughout the years to name a few, Dinan Memorial Center, Cambridge HealthCare and Rehabilitation, North Bridge Health Care Center, and the Jewish Center. Adrienne loved to cook, she loved to sing and she loved Jesus! Adrienne was a member of Harvest of Deliverance Kingdom Church. When you were in service with Adrienne, she was always vibrant with clapping her hands and praising the Lord! Just as she was vibrant in church, she was always the life of the party at the family gatherings. The precious memories we will always have of Adrienne is her radiant smile and always full of laughter. When the Joyner's get together, it is always lots of joy and laughter that fills the room, and Adrienne was at the top of that list that shared in those moments. Adrienne is survived by her two daughters: Nicki T. Joyner of Stratford, CT and Tanyika N. Joyner of Bridgeport, CT. Adrienne is survived by her sisters, Rosalie Jeanese Cabrera (Luis) of Severn, Maryland, Catherine Williams (Garfield) of West Haven, CT, and brother Michael Anthony Goodman also of West Haven, CT. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Mae Joyner. Adrienne is also survived by her grandchildren, Malachi O. Cantella, Ashleigh Kelly, both of Bridgeport, and Payton R. Joyner and Carter N. Joyner both of Stratford, CT. Adrienne was beloved by all of her nieces and nephews and is survived by Kia M. Joyner, Jervell A. Joyner, Lauren Rosa, Linda Fuller, Garrett Fuller, Michael Goodman Jr, and Malaysia Goodman. Adrienne also had a special love for her great nieces and nephew, Jakari Joyner, India Joyner, Shelden Griffin, Shanden Griffin, and Chase Merrill. Adrienne is also survived by a long-time companion Eugene Rogers.
